Poetry at the Lake
The Women's Book Club of the Congregational Church will join the Men’s Book Club. Spouses and friends are welcomed. We gather at the Briggs’ home in Lago Vista around 10:00 AM. Each person brings a poem or two or three. Some folks bring their own poetry or a poem that has special meaning for them. Some make us laugh. Some raise our consciousness. Some are sad. . . regardless, it is always a good time together.
After a couple hours of poems we have lunch. Fran and I will make fajitas and have tortillas (including gluten free). We will also provide drinks. The pot luck part of the meal will be whatever you would like to have with your fajitas. . . fixings, salads, veggies, desserts, and special drinks if you wish.
